Woolworths five & dime and luncheonette.

As soon as you open the chrome handled door, you know this diner is different. For one thing it is nestled in the far corner of an antique mall, but it’s most eye catching feature is that it is a piece of living history.

Visiting this luncheonette is like stepping back in time. Kind of like being on the set of a fifties movie.

And of course they are playing your favourite old songs. Today I heard most of the Dirty Dancing soundtrack. Only the oldies mind you.

This pristine 1950s diner, immaculately preserved for your dining pleasure.

Make sure you order a milkshake.
They were so good we had to visit twice.
