About

Self confessed shopaholic and recovering compulsive matcher Sally-ann has been styling people since they began allowing her to. Her very first subject was her mother who to this day wears fabulous things that Sally-ann finds for her.
Cutting her fashion retail teeth in high fashion shoes, then stretching her styling legs as a buyer, merchandiser and manager of a high fashion retail store for many years, Sally-ann is now a Super-Stylist for everyday people.

Highlights of her 20 year career in fashion include: Gracing the pages of magazines and walking the catwalk herself as a model, co-creating the Wellington Fashion Festival and the Wellington Fashion Map, attending national and international Fashion weeks, meeting international fashion editor and icon Colin McDowell, meeting Collette Dinnigan, Zandra Rhodes, Philip Treacy & working alongside Trinny & Susannah.

Believing that an open mind and a sense of humour are essential ingredients in both life and in style Sally-ann likes to keep it simple – believing that your smile is your best accessory and that style and elegance are the new black.

“Styling people such a thrill – I feel like the fairy-god-mother in Cinderella, just without the magic wand. I help to bring your sense style back into your lifestyle. Seeing people blossom with a new found self confidence is a wonderful gift to give someone.”

Her secret love is lindy hop & balboa dancing where she gets to indulge and combine her love of dance and 1940’s dresses.

A regular microblogger through instagram, twitter, facebook and her blog “The Vintage Teenager – Sally-ann fights crimes of fashion on a daily basis…. sometimes in her own wardrobe.

Sally-ann’s favourite colour is red and she has a penchant for anything sparkly. She never normally refers to herself in the third person, but this is fun.

“I am a spiritual girl living in a material world. I work as a stylist and live in Wellington, New Zealand.
This space is where I’ll be sharing my musings on style, beautiful things, the ridiculous, cats, ridiculous cats, life, love and anything that tickles my fancy.”
