How freaking incredible is this? MAC did it again, after the Simpsons collection, another crazy capsule collection is about to be launched, just in time for Halloween – MAC’s favourite holiday – inspired by the fantasy looks of the cult film ‘The Rocky Horror Picture‘ celebrating its 40th anniversary. The collection includes 21 items – dramatic lashes and liners, four shades of lipstick, eyeshadows, mascara, glitter, all in a black packaging featuring bright red lips.

“The Rocky Horror Picture Show is a cult classic about transformation, diversity, individuality and fantasy; all elements that are a part of MAC Cosmetics’ DNA ” – said James Gager, Mac Cosmetics Creative Director.

New Store.

I always get so excited when a new store opens at my local (Westfield Queensgate).

On Friday night at the VIP show I shared my excitement about a stunningly dreamy new store that has just opened in centre: Peter Alexander – the infamous sleepwear designer from Straya.

The store is not only a stunning shopping experience but the staff are super helpful.

I fell in love with the Ruby Slippers (because there is no place like home) and I had to have them. And the matching (but not too matching) pjyamas too!

I tres them on in the luxuriously spacious and pretty fitting room and ‘nek minnit’ they were mine.

I had to have the ‘shoes to die for’ pj top. Too funny.

V I P Night.

I know we all believe that VIP stands for very important person but in my show it stands for: Vitally Interactive & Participatory because I need you all to play.
You are wayyyyyy more important to the success of a show than I am.
I need your energy, your enthusiasm, your open minds and your feedback. Then I can bounce the show around and give you what you want.

This is what sets the VIP night apart from the others… You.
We talk, we have a conversation about fashion, problems, issues, challenges, misconceptions and confusion. We address those things as they come up and we have FUN!

I take the audience on a trip inside a sales assistants brain, we talk about the perils of tiny ‘fitting rooms’ and how to fully assess a new trend. (And not run screaming at the thought of change)

Camille from the Hits was my fab co- star on stage and she was a star to work with. Modelling garments, giving me sass and bringing up some tough questions. She marveled in my $35.00 outfit I wore onstage and shared her experience of being on a Shopping Tour with Moi! We took a few selfies…maybe more than a few… It was brilliant.

I has an absolute blast on stage that night and I’m pretty sure that fashion will never be the same for some audience members ever again.
Well I hope not.

In this show I take the seasons biggest trends, break them down and teach the audience how to wear them live on stage.

My brilliant MC for the night is the completely lovable, handsome and stylistically challenged (his own admission) Marc from the Hits and he asks the questions the audience is afraid to ask.

With bubbles, goodie bags, a lolly station and lots of prizes to win it is always a brilliant show.

Celebrity styling.

From time to time I am asked to style celebrities. I don’t like to talk about who I work with as it invades their privacy and – let’s face it – it looks cheap like I am trying to use their famous name to promote myself.
(Lame)
Occasionally I’ll work with famous people in the public eye and it is a natural progression for us both to talk about it. This is one of those days.

This morning at the Mummy Morning at Westfield Queensgate I got to share the stage with none other than Spongebob Squarepants. It was a memorable moment.
Spongebob is a style icon – he has taken tan shorts to new heights. He was wearing a preppy tie before Glee even existed. Legend.

We met. I took a selfie.

Then we got talking about the latest trends.
Spongebob confessed to being cold in Wellingtons wind. I suggested some pineapple print pants.

So on trend.

Who knows if Spongebob will branch out in a new direction or not.. But the important thing is that he was open to the idea of something new.

What a guy. Friendly, humble and fashionable… Everything you want in a celebrity cartoon character.

Vlog shoot.

Mornings are not my most favourite time of the day. A nine am start is not early, but factor in travel time and my under eye circles are looking deeper and darker than ever.
Not ideal for a video blog shoot.
This is where my favourite concealer comes into its own. I literally don’t leave home without it. It banishes the dark rings and most crucially doesn’t get stuck in fine lines. I love this concealer. I swear by it! Thank you Clinique.

Today – with the expert technical help of Duncan from Creative Stance and the stunning good looks & fab humour of our Kirsty Bunny Talent models: Jo and Aleisha we shot the two current Westfield style trends: White out and Tribal.

Then we shot the Tribal trend. A mix of Aztec, boho and a touch of the exotic!

The stylist is styling.

Today was a flat shoe day. I almost wish I’d worn a pedometer – I walked till my feet almost bled. (Yes flat shoes and I still have sore feet – what is that about???)

But it is done. In a secret room at Westfield Queensgate I have squirreled away the best of the best of strong summer trends. Shoes, handbags, bracelets, sunglasses, skirts, tops, belts, scarves, plus dresses and the it pants of the season.

Ready for tomorrow’s video blog shoot, Wednesdays Mummy Morning, Thursdays Style Workshop & Fridays VIP show.

Plus of course there are 4 shopping tours and 4 instore styling events with yours truly this coming weekend!

Since coming home and putting my feet up I have written scripts, packed my styling tools, removed my nail polish plus fake tanned myself to within an inch of my life.

I am ready Fashion Festival, Bring it on.
